To make the most of our time together, we suggest preparing in advance by gathering:

        • Any handwritten notes or sketches you’ve made.

By starting with a clear picture of your goals, we’ll work together efficiently to design something that truly reflects your unique vision.

Expert Construction Design Services

At Second Son, we specialize in creating spaces that reflect your unique vision. During the design phase, we’ll carefully review permits, architectural drawings, and other essentials tailored to your project’s scope and complexity. Whether you’re planning a luxurious master suite, a stunning kitchen, or a full home renovation, we’ll guide you in transforming your space to its fullest potential.

Our Commitment to You
We’re dedicated to turning your dream home into reality. To get you started, we offer:

        • A free initial 30-minute consultation to discuss your vision and project needs.
        • Three free hours of bid development when you choose us as your project partner.
          Additional bid development hours are billed at $150/hour. For projects not completed by us, all bid development hours are billed at $150/hour.

Project Scope

After finalizing the design and selecting materials, we’ll provide a detailed proposal that clearly outlines the project timeline and scope of work. This step ensures everyone is aligned and fully understands the tasks, schedule, and costs.

Pre-Construction Phase

The pre-construction phase is where we finalize essential details such as permits and land development. This process can take some time, depending on the specifics of your property. Factors like re-zoning, the land’s geographical features, municipal requirements, and reviews by various departments will all influence the timeline for this step.

Execution Phase


In the execution phase, we’re excited to bring your vision to life. We begin by developing the project timeline and coordinating the delivery of materials and sequencing of labor and trades. On-site work takes place.

Post-construction & Close-out

The post-construction phase is the final step in bringing your project to completion. Once all work on-site is finished, we focus on closing out the project with you in mind. This includes more than just completing the punch list—it’s about ensuring every detail is handled. Our goal is to leave you with a finished, polished space that exceeds your expectations.
